The weekend was a bonanza! Both of our badge draws were won by Members.
Congratulations firstly to Ninos who is the first winner of our new Kinselas badge draw! He went home with $200 kindly donated by Kinselas, the home of Friday Night Bears and Press Paws!
Secondly, congratulations to Rob, who won the $400 badge draw at the Bank Hotel!
As always, the badge draw starts at $100 and will increase by an additional $100 each week until it jackpots, at which point it must be won, so make sure you are out and about in order to have a chance to claim your prize!
Thank you to our sponsors, Kinselas, and the Bank Hotel, for their ongoing support!
We would like to announce some exciting changes to our Bears on Friday event at Kinselas
From this week there will be no more meat trays!
Instead, we will be having a members badge draw each week at 10pm starting at $100 and if the member is not there it will jackpot each week until it reaches $1000 and if that occurs it must be won!
We will still be raffling bar tabs and more
Double tickets if you arrive before 7:30pm
Free Sausage sizzle, with the ever gorgeous Penny from 8pm
We were up and running from 9:30 am until approx 2:30 pm and sold almost everything. The stall made just over $500 for the club, which will be used to support our ongoing activities and events.
A huge thank you to Bunnings and the following volunteers and donators on the day :
James, Amanda, Kevin, Josh, Envizi staff, Robert and Michael for donating baked goods and to Cameron, Iz, Kevin, Robert and Michael for helping to man the stall!
Congratulations to our Mr Harbour City Bears 2017 – Dale Apple
It was a tough competition and a razor edge finish, with the final two contestants being separated by a mere 2 points, in the end, Dale took the win, and will represent Harbour City Bears at Southern Hibearnation in 2018!
If you see him around at our events, make sure you say hi!

The committee want our beary members on our posters for our next Bear Essentials – and we are looking for a range of body types to truly represent the club. If you want to be on one of our posters – please contact Josh.
There will be a chance to put in your expression of interest at the AGM as well. These shots will be full body – please include if you are comfortable being photographed in underwear/swimwear. If possible, please include a current photo. This will help with the decision process.

Meet your contestants and judges for our Mr HCB contest next friday!
Find below a snippet from their entry, and keep an eye out for them at our events leading up to the big night!
I’m a lover of the Bear community, one that is more inclusive, that is more concerned about the size of your heart rather than how many reps you can do at the local gym! Outgoing to a fault, and I think I’d make an excellent Mr HCB!
37yo Virgin & your Next Bearchelor of the Year! AKA Mr Kinky Congeniality ?? – I want to spread a message that BEARS = LOVE
Cub with a French accent, I want to represent how the open our community could be.
Why would I like to enter and become Mr HCB… Why wouldn’t you. It’s a great organisation that helps liked minded people connect with each other in a sociable way.
Our judges were chosen to represent a cross section of the bear community, while promoting diversity and inclusion!
Our former HCB president Murray, our Cub and Bear judges Steven and Ian, current Mr Australasia Bear Morro and Jess Scully, councillor for City of Sydney and opener of Bear Essentials 21.
These judges, along with the votes from the audience, will determine your Mr HCB 2017 winner who will then go on to compete in next years Mr Australasia Bear competition!
